EFA MEPS celebrate the work of the PEGA Comittee and urges EU institutions to regulate the use of Spyware
Today, EFA Group President, Jordi Solé, and MEP Diana Riba Vice-President of the PEGA Committee intervened in plenary to celebrate the work that the Committee of Inquiry to investigate the use of Pegasus and equivalent surveillance spyware has done.

Parliament reiterates support for the protection and rights of minorities
The European Parliament has adopted the report on the implementation of the Europeans Citizens' Initiative (ECI), which includes proposals to further support the organizers ECIs and to increase the visibility of this unique participatory instrument.
On the agenda this week: nature restoration law, water crisis, batteries and waste batteries, Artificial Intelligence Act, Pegasus spyware, food security, destruction of the Nova Kakhovka dam, Pandora papers
The European Commission has come out with its proposals for an ‘EU Ethics Body’. The Greens/EFA Group have long been calling for an independent EU Ethics Body that would handle issues of corruption, conflicts of interest and breaches of ethics in the EU institutions.
