    ECJ ruling will change the way future deals are made

    The European Court of Justice has ruled that the EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement is a matter of mixed competence, requiring the ratification of Member States to come into force. The ruling will have major implications for future EU trade deals, says Greens/EFA trade spokesperson Heidi Hautala.

    Europe needs a new approach to globalisation

    The European Parliament is today debating the Commission's recent reflection paper on globalisation. According to Greens/EFA co-president Ska Keller, the EU needs to develop a new purpose as a power that controls globalisation and delivers fair trade.
