    EU Human Rights Sanctions

    EU foreign ministers have agreed to sanction four Russian officials over the jailing of opposition leader Alexey Navalny, which is the first listings on the EU's new Global Human Right's Sanctions Regime.

    Poland: De facto abortion ban

    Members of the European Parliament are debating the de facto ban on abortion in Poland, as called for by the Greens/EFA group. The Greens/EFA group supports the Women's Strike protests and call on the Commission and Council to act in defence of the rule of law in Poland.
