    EFA Group rejects the ban on Corsican language

    On Friday 10th of March, at the request of the representative of the French State in Corsica, the French court imposed a ban on the use of Corsican language in the Corsican Parliament.

    Saving lives is not a crime

    The EU must protect humanitarians. Not criminalise their actions when they save lives. When faced with people in distress, no matter where they are from, human dignity must come first. That is one of the core values of the European Union.

    The Greens-EFA welcome the award of the Sakharov Prize to the brave people of Ukraine

    The 2022 prize will be awarded to “The brave people of Ukraine” represented by their president, civil society and elected leaders*. The decision was taken unanimously by the Parliament's Conference of Presidents on 19/10/2022. The award ceremony of the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought is taking place today from 12 to 12.30.
