Overcoming the COP26 Gaps: A Transformed EU External Action for a Climate-Just World

The event will present the findings of an E3G report commissioned by the Greens/EFA group in the European Parliament. The study shows how the European Green Deal can be mobilised to secure an EU foreign policy aligned with the Paris Agreement and capable of accelerating the transition towards a climate-just world for all.

Final vote on tax transparency measures step forward in fight against multinational tax dodging

The European Parliament has just voted for a major breakthrough in the fight for tax justice breakthrough. MEPs have just adopted the directive known as public country-by-country reporting. This is a historic step towards full tax transparency of multinationals in the EU and tax havens.

European Parliament takes important step towards fair minimum wages in Europe

The Social Affairs Committee of the European Parliament has just voted in favour of European minimum wages. About 10 percent of the working population in Europe lives in poverty and it is mainly women who are paid below a living wage. With this proposal, minimum wages should contribute to reducing poverty and closing the gender pay gap
