Member States fail to ban glyphosate - Greens/EFA urge Commission to act

Member States missed their last chance to ban the use of glyphosate for the next decade. The Commission will now take a decision on the renewal of the use of glyphosate. The Greens/EFA urge the Commission to take into account the overwhelming scientific proof of the dangers of using glyphosates both for peoples health and for nature

Letter to Commission President von der Leyen on glyphosate

The undersigned Members of the European Parliament are deeply concerned regarding the Commission’s proposal to renew the market licence of the active substance glyphosate for a period of 10 years, in light of new evidence that glyphosate-based herbicides can cause leukaemia in rodents.

The EU forest monitoring law

Anna Deparnay-Grunenberg
Opinion by Anna Deparnay-Grunenberg
Our forests in Europe are vital for preserving wildlife and for fighting against climate change. But we lack knowledge about our forests, that would help us to restore and protect them. We need to know what we want to protect.
