EFA Statement on Israel’s Invasion of Lebanon

On the night of 30th September, Israeli forces entered  Lebanon, having ordered the evacuation of 25 villages in the South of Lebanon, to carry out military operations. In addition, they launched air strike attacks on Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.

The European Free Alliance in the European Parliament demands that international law be upheld and calls for an immediate ceasefire in both Lebanon and Palestine. This conflict has already claimed far too many innocent lives.

EFA Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) urge diplomacy, human rights and peace to be prioritised in all negotiations and call for an end to the conflict.
