In short: Facebook unjustly blocked a page of my project, and along with that, they blocked my personal profile. They allowed me to appeal for the page and found out that they made a mistake. Therefore, they unblocked the page. However, the ban on my personal profile unjustly stayed for weeks, and I did not have any option to contact Facebook.
Details:
My little brother and I did a music project which was quite well-known on YouTube years ago and caused controversy. Fans of other YouTubers who criticized us (mostly because they hated kids creating content on the internet) often came to our Facebook page and started to report our posts for alleged violations of the rules. They understood this as a way to prevent us from publishing content.
Facebook blocked the page of our project several times and allowed us to appeal. The appeal was always successful because we did not post anything that would be against the rules of the platform. The problem, however, was that together with the blocking of the page, Facebook always blocked my personal profile.
However, it was not possible to appeal for the personal account, and it remained blocked for me. In addition to blocking my personal profile, they prevented me from communicating on Messenger. So I had to set up a temporary profile to which I added my loved ones so that I could keep in touch with them in the following weeks.
In general, it is not possible to contact Facebook in any way, so I could not solve this problem. By unjustly blocking my personal profile, Facebook isolated me from many of my friends, with whom we communicate only via Facebook and Messenger. And I couldn’t do anything about that.
