Repowering the recovery : RRF one year on
One year after the endorsement of the first Recovery and Resilience Plan by the European Commission, it is time to give a first assessment of how this programme has delivered so far. The RRF remains an excellent economic tool for ensuring the recovery of EU economies from the COVID19 pandemic, and it is pivotal to the EU’s energy transition. However, limitations have emerged in implementation - mainly relating to the green spending target and the respect of the DNSH principle, the gender impact and the engagement of local authorities and the civil society. With this event, the Greens/EFA group at the European Parliament intends to hold an open and in-depth discussion on how to address these shortcomings, especially in light of the Commission’s proposal of RRF becoming an integral part of the REPowerEU.
The event takes place between 14:00 and 16:30 CET
Interpretation will be provided in Italian
