EFA message of condolence concerning Germanwings flight 4U9525

In a joint statement on behalf of the European Free Alliance (EFA), Josep-Maria Terricabras MEP (President of the EFA Group in the European Parliament) and François Alfonsi (President of the EFA European Political Party) said:

"The European Free Alliance (EFA) sends its heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the families, friends and loved ones of the victims of yesterday's tragic plane crash in southern France, involving a Germanwings flight from Barcelona to Dusseldorf.

"We were extremely saddened to hear that the partner of our former Catalan colleague was aboard the aircraft and our thoughts are with him at this particularly difficult time.

"All of the victims of this terrible tragedy and their families remain in our thoughts."
