Prime Minister ousted to restore dignity to the institutions

"Through the no-confidence motion, the opposition has taken its responsibilities to restore dignity to the country's politics and institutions which have been mistreated for too long by corruption cases. 　

"We are counting on Pedro Sanchez to restore confidence and to reverse the institutional, social and ecological damage after seven years of the Popular Party in power.

"He will have to take significant steps in the next few months such as : the repeal of the gag rule, measures to alleviate the country's social suffering, to set up a territorial dialogue, - starting with the Catalan question that PP let fester - and to change direction in the field of Spain's energy and climate policy.

"The Greens-EFA expect the new president to play a positive role in Europe, helping those of us who are working for a more democratic, ecological and social EU."
