The Conference on the Future of the Europe is now over. The Greens/EFA together with other political groups in the European Parliament have the ambition to adopt the demand for Treaty change ("triggering article 48") during the June plenary session. This would open the path for the Convention.

YOU MADE YOUR VOICE HEARD

The Conference on the Future of Europe asked for the opinion and recommendations from 800 citizens from all over the Union. The last 8 months citizens have worked tirelessly and delivered 178 recommendations for the future of Europe. At the forefront of participative democracy, the Greens/EFA listened to citizens, and we have set out our positions on each recommendation.

We have done Europe's biggest experiment in democracy

As part of the Conference, 800 randomly selected citizens have voiced their demands on the future of the EU and a set of 49 proposals was agreed. Parliament reiterates support for the protection and rights of minorities

The European Parliament has adopted the report on the implementation of the Europeans Citizens' Initiative (ECI), which includes proposals to further support the organizers ECIs and to increase the visibility of this unique participatory instrument.
