Nicolae Ștefănuță MEP elected as Vice President of the Greens/EFA Group

Tonight, the Greens/EFA elected Nicolae Ștefănuță MEP as Vice-President of the Group. Nicolae Ștefănuță succeeds Ernest Urtasun, who was recently appointed Minister for Culture in the new Spanish Government.  
 
Nicolae Ștefănuță MEP joined the Greens/EFA group in March, and has been a member of the European Parliament since 2019. He is a member of the Budget committee, as well as the Environment, Public Health and Food Committee and has worked on improving the air quality in the EU. He was the General Rapporteur for the EU Budget for 2023, and leading figure in the fight for improving mental health. Ștefănuță is also a strong advocate for strengthening and extending the Erasmus program. Ștefănuță is elected as an MEP from Romania.
