Greens/EFA to pay tribute to Anna Politkovskaya
Today, at 15.00 in the European Parliament plenary chamber, Greens/EFA MEPs will display images of Anna Politkovskaya, the Russian journalist and human rights activist who was murdered three years ago on this day.
This is to pay tribute not only to her, but to all those who have paid with their lives for defending freedom of speech and human rights in recent years in Russia.
The European Parliament has previously honoured Anna Politkovskaya by naming its Brussels press briefing room after her.
