Powerful encounters: Picturing an end to energy poverty

With energy prices spiralling out of control and the climate crisis being at a high point, the number of people who cannot afford their energy bills increases every day. This unacceptable reality of many people in Europe has been met with the innovative and courageous initiatives of those trying to find green solutions to this crisis.

Friends of the Earth Europe exhibition "Powerful encounters: Picturing an end to energy poverty” offers a snapshot of people across Europe enduring the energy crisis and battling energy poverty. People from Belgium, Bulgaria, Poland, Portugal and Spain provide an insight into what is needed for a Europe without energy poverty that guarantees the right to clean, affordable energy for decent, climate-resilient homes.

Join us on 27 February at 17:30 in the Swan Bar Area of the European Parliament in Strasbourg for the inauguration of this exhibition. You will have the chance to listen to some words from MEPs Cuffe and Toussaint, Laia Segura (Friends of the Earth Europe) and the testimonies of Svetoslav Stoykov and Josep Babot, who are directly involved in the projects to ensure that everyone has access to affordable and clean energy! Refreshments will be provided.

The exhibition will take place on Tuesday 27 February at 17:30 in the Swan Bar Area of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
