PRESENTATION
How to reindustrialise Europe and create economic recovery, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing resource efficiency? What’s the contribution from SMEs to sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship, and which policy framework suits them? How can we achieve a socially fair greening of our industries, and what does this mean for new alliances between trade unions and environmentalists? In the context of the European Parliament’s Bütikofer report on Reindustrialising Europe to Promote Competitiveness and Sustainability, the Greens/EFA conference on a Renaissance of Industry for a Sustainable Europe (RISE) will address challenges for and opportunities of a Green industrial policy, as well as alliances and policy frameworks needed for its implementation. Speakers include ministers, policy-makers, trade union representatives, academics, business representatives, entrepreneurs. There will be plenty of opportunity for debate.DRAFT AGENDA
