Conference on climate change
Asia-Europe dialogue on the climate challenge of the 21st century
The aim of the conference is to facilitate discussion on global climate policy after the Kyoto Protocol.
The Climate Dialogue will open with a press conference, hosted by Green MEP Satu Hassi, at 10am on 7 September in the Finlandia Hall in Helsinki.
At the press conference Mohan Munasinghe, vice-chair of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and Prof. Jacqueline McGlade, executive director of the European Environment Agency (EEA), will briefly summarise the latest scientific findings about climate change and the challenges related to climate protection in the future.
