Greens/EFA Group statement on the passing of Josep Maria Terricabras

The Greens/EFA Group are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Josep Maria Terricabras, former EFA Group President and Greens/EFA MEP (2014-2019).

Josep Maria Terricabras was a philosopher and academic, committed to creating a just and equitable society and dedicated to the independence of Catalonia.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends.

“Josep Maria was a truly compassionate and committed individual. Working alongside him was a privilege and a pleasure, we always valued his wisdom, intelligence and humour.

“He held steadfast convictions and principles, always striving for the betterment of our society. He will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with his family and all those whose lives he touched.”
