European Prostate Cancer Awareness Day

Prostate cancer is the cancer with the highest incidence in men, 1 in 7 men will be confronted with it during their life. Though a significant number will die of the disease or will have to deal with painful metastases, prostate cancer is still considered a taboo.
To counter this and to raise awareness of prostate cancer, Europa Uomo* has organised a special information day in the European Parliament on 19 September, hosted by Flemish MEP Frieda Brepoels.
Top European urologists, together with representatives of patients, will discuss the importance of sound information, awareness and early detection. Moreover, a giant walk-in prostate model will be situated in front of the Parliament in which you can see the diseases which can affect the prostate.
